In McGillivray Memorial Park, 3245 McGillivray Drive.
This memorial was first erected in September 1920, in front of the township hall of West McGillivray, but was moved in 1956 to the Memorial Park here in the hamlet of Lieury. The names of those lost in World War I are forever engraved in the sides of the granite shaft, while the men lost in World War II where later added to the back. The statue of a Great War soldier, carved from Italian marble, stands proudly over the names of the honoured souls from this township who died in conflict. The rifle of the soldier has been replaced with a wooden replica. Members of the Parkhill Legion preside over Remembrance Day ceremonies at this rural location.
