This classic memorial was erected in August 1920, by the
Women's Institute of Trout Creek. Constructed of Scotch Granite, the
monument stands seven feet tall and features intricate stonework engravings of
the names of those who gave their lives in the Great War, and later World War
II. The cost of the memorial in 1920 was priced at $250, but the loss of
young men was so much greater to this small community.
