This nice memorial was erected in 1949, by the citizens of
the village of Tyrone, to honour the men of the area who died during the World
Wars. The memorial consists of two brick and concrete pillars, with a
marble plaque on each. A tall flagpole stands between the two pillars,
proudly waving our Canadian flag.
