On Lakeview Avenue, across from the Legion.
This memorial sits at the entrance to Veterans' Memorial Park, located across Lakeview Avenue from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34. A beautiful place to visit in the summer months, the popular waterfront can be a busy place. The memorial lists the names of all those from Orillia who died in the World Wars. On the front is a metal plaque dated 1920, mounted on the white granite stone. The plaque must have been located elsewhere before this recent memorial was erected in 2015. On the back, engraved in the stone, are the names of those lost in World War II. A tall, nautical type of flagpole marks the memorial from a distance.
