Mitchell
Location: West Perth N 43 28.039 W 081 11.764
Corner of Ontario Road and St. Andrew Street, in front of the Post Office.
Erected by the town of Mitchell and the townships of Fullarton, Logan and Hibbert, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars.
A tall granite pillar, topped with a large dove of peace. Originally erected in honour of men who died in the World War 1, the names of those from the Second World War were added later.
Around the base of the monument are the dedications of the Town and Townships of the area. The memorial is surrounded by a well manicured garden and small fence, creating a courtyard of peace.
