Milton
Location: Halton Region N 43 30.619 W 079 53.057
Located in Victoria Square Park, close to the corner of Mary Street and Brown Street.
A beautiful memorial, erected in 1926, unveiled by Colonel Henry Cockshutt, Lieut. Governor of Ontario. This memorial features a statue of a young soldier, atop a granite shaft. Behind the memorial, in the park is also found a vintage artillery piece. The grounds are well cared for by the town works department, who were there during my visit, tending to the landscaping and cleaning the entire area.
