Location: Oxford County N 43 02.681 W 80 55.448
In front of the the Zorra Township offices, at the corner of 19th Line and 27th Line.
This memorial is dedicated to the brave men of North Oxford, now Zorra Township. Originally erected with the names of those lost in the First World War, the names of those lost in the Second World War were added later. The statue features a marble soldier typical of many WWI statues of the time. The memorial was moved from Dickson's Corner to its present location.
A wonderful website and resource has been created to honour the heroes of Zorra, from the 1860's to present day. I suggest spending several minutes here to find out more about the names engraved on this beautiful cenotaph. http://www.heroesofzorra.ca/
