Arden

Location:  Frontenac County     N 44 43.238   W 76 55.421
On the east side of Arden Road, beside Kennebec Hall.

This memorial is located in Kennebec Memorial Park, in the village of Arden.  Kennebec Township no longer exists, being amalgamated in 1998 to become Central Frontenac.  The memorial here is very nicely done with three granite stone shafts, each engraved with the names of those who served and died in the World Wars and Korea.  There is also a tribute to the 101st Airborne regiment for its role in rescuing POW's in WWII.  The cenotaph is flanked by a pair of Vickers machine guns, made and donated in 2016 by Mr. and Mrs. GJ Landon-Browne.
The memorial was erected in 1990 by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 334, which is located a short distance south and is the only place in Arden to find a drink.  Very friendly atmosphere and the nerve centre of the village.
