Location: United Counties of Leeds and Grenville N 45.08194 W -75.63154
The park is located a few kilometres north of Kemptville, just of Highway 416 at Rideau River Road.
Veterans Commemorative Park was erected in 2000 by the Royal Canadian Legion to honour those who served Canada during war and peace. The memorial consists of three granite stele, a tall flagpole and appropriate landscaping. What struck me most was how isolated this location seemed to be, next to a little used highway on-ramp, well out of town, not near anything that would bring anyone to the site. Still, it is good to have any new memorials to recognize the contributions of our veterans. Thank you.
