Terrace Bay

Location:  Thunder Bay District     N 48.78156     W -86.37848
On the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway, across the road from the tourist info centre.

This memorial stands proudly along the busy Trans-Canada Highway, with a view over the residential part of Terrace Bay, with Lake Superior in the distance.  The memorial was erected in September 1957, consisting of a large pre-formed concrete cross with three tall flagpoles behind the monument.  The area is nicely laid out with a walkway, benches and landscaping.  A small plaque at the base of the cross is dedicated to those who gave their lives in service of their country.
