At the corner of Concession Street South and Ottawa Street, beside the library.
 


This memorial was originally erected to honour those from this community who served in the Great War.  The names of the dead are engraved on the front of the granite stele, and the names of the men and one Nursing Sister who returned are found on the sides.
On the back of the memorial are engraved the names of those lost in World War II, and the Korean War is also acknowledged, although no one from Tamworth was lost in Korea.
The memorial is placed in a place of honour beside the beautiful library, near the main intersection in town.  The Union Jack flag can be found decorating the cenotaph.  A very nice memorial for a small town, well kept and well supported by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 458.
