Peterborough - Ashburnham Memorial Park

Location:  N 44° 18.704 W 078° 18.137  In Ashburnham Park, the highest point of the city, and one heck of a lookout.

The Ashburnham Women's Patriotic League bought Armour hill in 1923 as a park
to be dedicated to the fallen of WWI. In 1937 the League donated Ashburnham
Memorial Park to the City of Peterborough. Since then it has been a war
memorial site.

  1. Beautiful banner at your site as well, I am reminded of some wall paintings by the Mexican artist, Diego Rivera, such as this one http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8BWNY4. You browse more murals of his at wahooart.com.
