Espanola
Location: Sudbury District N 46 15.129 W 81 45.964
In front of the Legion, 370 Annette Street.
This memorial was first dedicated in November 1967, and was originally located in Mead Street Park. In 1982, the memorial was moved to its current site in front of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 39. This is the main location for the town's Remembrance Day ceremonies. The names engraved on the cenotaph were all local residents who made the supreme sacrifice in both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan.
A World War II artillery piece is also found here, a 25-pounder C Mk. 2 QF Field Gun to be precise.
