Wainfleet

Location:  Niagara Region     N 42 55.346   W -79 22.521
On Park Street, just east of Highway 3, beside the library.

This memorial was erected in 2014 by the citizens of Wainfleet Township.  The grey granite cenotaph gives a simple message of remembrance in both official languages.  Located in a small parkette beside the library, the grounds are well landscaped and includes a small bench to respectfully sit and remember the sacrifices of the past.  The township offices are located across the road to the east and it is my understanding that two Honour Roll plaques are located inside the offices, listing the names of all from this township who made the supreme sacrifice for peace and freedom.
