Fort Erie - Royal Canadian Legion Frontier Branch 71
Location: N 42° 54.328 W 078° 55.084 Found on the corner of Garrison Road and Albany Street.
The Royal Canadian Legion Frontier Branch 71 in Fort Erie has three different memorials of interest. All are easily seen from the parking lot.
First is their main memorial, a large round millstone, with the names of major conflicts on small plaques on the stairs leading to the memorial. Erected in 1993.
Second is a white cross in the garden, found near the entrance to the parking lot.
Third is a colourful mural painted on the side of the legion building. This beautiful mural shows the many different facets of military history in the Fort Erie area. At the sides of the mural is a list of names of the fallen, unfortunately I do not have a clear photo yet and cannot list those names here. My apologies to the members of Branch 71.
