Location: Frontenac County N 44° 11.598 W 076° 26.440
On the north side of Main Street, in front of the Wolfe Island Town Hall.
This memorial, the only one on Wolfe Island, was erected in 1994 by the Township of Wolfe Island. The township was expanded in 1998 to include the Township of Howe and several small islands in the vicinity, now known as the Township of Frontenac Islands. The Township Hall itself is a National Historic Site, with its own interpretive plaque.

PAST AND PRESENT
ON BEHALF OF ALL ISLAND RESIDENTS,
WISH TO PAY TRIBUTE TO THE MEN AND
WOMEN OF THIS COMMUNITY WHO
ANSWERED THE CALL OF THEIR COUNTRY
TO HELP PRESERVE THE PEACE AND
FREEDOM WE NOW ENJOY. SOME PAID
THE SUPREME SACRIFICE, SOME SUFFERED
SEVERE WOUNDS AND HARDSHIP. OTHERS
