Location: Norfolk County N 42 37.287 W 80 27.037
On the north side of Lakeshore Road, west of Ellis Street.
Located on a hill overlooking the picturesque harbour, we find a very nice memorial dedicated to the men of this village who served and died in the great conflicts of the 20th century. The memorial is sponsored by the local Branch No.379 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
The front of the cenotaph lists the wars, and includes the service of the Merchant Marines. The back of the tall granite stele lists the names of those from Port Rowan and Walsingham who lost their lives in the World Wars.
The view of the harbour and Lake Erie is quite spectacular from this vantage point, giving the visitor much to see and much to remember.
