Osgoode

3282 Sunstrum Street, in front of the Legion.

Originally part of Osgoode Township, now part of Ottawa since the amalgamation in 2001.  Osgoode used to be called Osgoode Station then has its name shortened to Osgoode in 1962.

This memorial is situated in front of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 589.  A sidewalk starting from the parking lot leads to it. It is flanked by 2 trees and flagpoles with the Canadian flag on the left and the Ontario flag on the right.  From there you can see a painting of a field of poppies and a board saying WE WILL REMEMBER THEM on the wall of the building.You can see under the words a ship, a tank, and an aircraft.  A few feet from the wall, there is a silhouette of a fence and a soldier kneeling at a grave of a fallen comrade. That silhouette is just made of plywood.

The stele itself is just a simple one with a cross on it, At the base of it there is a piece of stone with the  words " IN REMEMBRANCE (flanked by a maple leaf  on each side).

 The concrete base of the memorial has the words "LEST WE FORGET" engraved and painted in black.
