Located in the pioneer cemetery at 505403 Old Stage Road.
"The monument in Oxford Centre was unveiled on November 16, 1919 during an impressive service at the Town Hall. The memorial monument was unveiled by Rev. Capt. Apple yard of Woodstock and assisted by Lieut.-Col. Burgess to honour those from East Oxford Township that made the supreme sacrifice.
The monument is of grey granite and stood at the southwest corner of the Town Hall grounds. The following names were inscribed on it:
- Pte. James A. Langdon
- Pte. George E. Yeoman
- Pte. Charles I. Cooper
- Pte. Albert H. Bond
- Sergt. M Douglas Shell D.C.M.
- Lieut. R.D. Millyard
- Pte. Aubrey Holdsworth
- Pte. Harry Sanders
- Pte. Robert Lobban
- Pte. Fred E. Pounds
During the tornado of August 1979, the Town Hall at Oxford Centre was destroyed and subsequently the monument was moved to the Pioneer Cemetery. Whereas the two WWII memorial tablets that had been erected in 1946 at the Town Hall were moved to the new Township of Norwich office, located in Oxford Centre."
