Simcoe - Legion Br. 79

Location:  Norfolk County     N 42.83519   W -80.31000

200 West Street, on the corner with Metcalfe Street S.

A simple stone cairn in front of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 79.  The cairn was dedicated in November 1999 and is supported by an artillery piece.  Like all Legions across the country, this branch takes a lead role in the service of the community, especially helping the local veterans and bringing a strong reminder each Remembrance Day of the sacrifices that have come before us.
