Georgina - York Regional Police
Location: N 44 17.426 W 079 25.126 On the south side of Baseline Road, in front of the York Regional Police 3 District Headquarters.
This memorial was placed by the York Regional Police, in recognition of those who have served their country in the Canadian Armed Forces.
There is stone at the start of the garden pathway to the memorial. It reads:
THE CANADIAN FORCES
RECOGNITION STONE
WAS FUNDED WITH THE
GENEROUS SUPPORT OF THE
POLICE APPRECIATION NIGHT
COMMITTEE
NOVEMBER 4, 2011
The main memorial has the same inscription on both sides, along with the Canadian Forces crest. It reads as follows:
THIS STONE HONOURS THOSE WHO
SERVED AND ENDURED FEAR,
HARDSHIP AND SACRIFICE
BY SEA, LAND AND AIR
IN SERVICE OF THEIR
COUNTRY
