Huron Park

 

Location:  Huron County  N 43 17.516  W 081 29.726
On the north-west corner of Airport Line (Conc. Rd. 3) and Alberta Street.

Erected in 1992, by veterans of CFB Centralia and Branch 167 of the Royal Canadian Legion.  This memorial sits at the entrance to the former base which was  part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization air training system.  The base operated from 1942 to 1967.
Now a public airport, and the buildings are mostly used for by industrial and shipping businesses.
