At the north-west corner of Government Road and Second Avenue.
This memorial is located in a town park on the south side of town. Coniston is a short distance east of the City of Sudbury, a quiet bedroom community for the larger city. The memorial was dedicated in 1994 on behalf of the local Branch 427 of the Royal Canadian Legion. It has two plaques on the front listing the men lost in the two World Wars and also lists the major wars and conflicts that Canada has participated in during its history. The main body of the memorial is a large black granite stone with the engraved logos of the army, air force, and RCMP, and a slogan representing the navy. The back of the memorial is dedicated to the service of the RCMP. An anchor rests on the ground beside the cenotaph, no further info is available about its origins.
