Killed in action in Belgium, October 17, 1944.
He was awarded posthumouslythe Belgium Croix de Guerre with Palme Medal for courage and tenacity in an impossible situation.
A former resident of Michipicoten River Village, buried in Adegem Cemetery, Belgium.
